I guess everyone has to try an onion at some point. This drawing displays the poor state of my onions, but I guess that's what happens when you buy a whole bag of them for 1.29. Hee hee.

Mom...a little preview of "A Student of Weather".

"Do you think," she asks so seriously that everyone looks at her, "do you think Maria will ever be happy again?"
"You mean as happy as she was before her lover died?"
Lover again, and she ducks her head. "Yes," rubbing her fingertip on the tabletop. "After the book ends."
"No," he says.
"No?"
"No. She'll have moments of happiness, but she'll never have sustained happiness."
"Oh."
And Norma Joyce sees them, moments of happiness like pearls lost in the corners of a dark room.

I just thought I'd provide the link for the Oil Pastel Society's list of artists page.

You have to take a look at the strawberries. Marvelous! The pastel is called juicy. Yum.

Pencil...still working on this

Big Beehive A picture from my travels with Sarah.
The flower that is actually white and then purple when it dies...oh gosh, I can't remember it's name. I had it yesterday. Argh. Anyway, you know what I mean

More art from the musician

This is my little teapot. Not too bad. Using my usual heavy touch with the pastels here. Tee hee.

Hypocrite

This is ultimately lame and hypocritical, but there have been a few things worth sharing that I've seen, read, photographed or something else. Here are my collection of less than perfect pastels. It sure is fun. I tried this out, like you suggested mom. I didn't exactly get the shadow right here. But I tried.
